Weekend Warrior in P-Town!

This last weekend my husband headed to San Francisco, and you know what that means? GIRLS WEEKEND! So I took off to Provo, Utah to spend some time with my sister and friends :)
It started off with a BANG! My Aunt rented out a theater for the family and friends to see HUNGER GAMES!!! Before the midnight premier even came out! How sweet is that!! So we headed to Thanksgiving Point to watch it.

It was AMAZINGG! I definitely suggest reading the book first though.

The next day I went with my sister again to nanny London and Layla! They are adorable, I wish I could've just taken them home with me :)

The zoo was a success and so much fun :) This is us with the Giraffes they named; Ariel, Cinderella and Repunzal  (no idea how to spell her name?!) haha. Shocking names huh ;)

I was so sad to leave them!! 

The next day was the Festival of Colors!!! It was fun, probably wouldn't do it again, but it was a lot of fun with my friends and sister :) For those of you that don't know what it is, it's a spring festival celebrated by the Hindu at their temple.  You all stand there as they play music and then on the count down you throw your chalk!!

The last picture was us while the throwing was settling down.  It was so dark when everyone tossed their chalk!! It was crazy.  Pretty sure I am STILL blowing chalk out of my nose the next day! I think I have Colorful Lungs too :) 

I had so much fun with everyone!!! Great weekend, and then it was time to return to my HUSBAND!! Hope you all had a great weekend :) 

Rex Lee Race!

On your mark, Get set, GO!
My sister and I decided we were going to start running again.  Do I regret that commitment?  Some days!! But this last weekend we ran a 5k called Rex Lee and it was for Cancer.  It was so fun! (well fun..after we were done!) Lets just say, next time I know I have to be in better shape :)
I headed down there Friday and I stopped to see her at work, she nanny's for a couple in American Fork with the two cutest little girls..

So then when she got off work, we were starving! So I chose to go to Kneaders, because I haven't ever been. It was simply DELICIOUS!

I finally got to try a Cannollii! (I've been hooked on Cake Boss lately on our Netflicks and wanted to try one really bad!) 

So after all of this, we had to stop and pick out our Saint Patricks day outfit for our race! Lets just say that was definitely an adventure, ask more for further details :) haha! But we ended up getting it and...

It was race time baby!! The race was so much fun and I am so happy it was for a great cause! It was a great turn out and although I was EXHAUSTED, I am thankful for a great sister who pushes me and for a healthy body :) 

Spring Break!

For Spring Break we got the chance to visit our families!! We hadn't seen them in awhile so we were very excited. With some convincing, I got  Jordan to take some time off of the farm and we were able to take some motorcycles out and have some fun of course!

He had to help me get mine started but once we did...

The ride was gorgeous and so fun! So we're riding along...and I see hundreds of seagulls! 

My phone couldn't even capture hals that was there! What happens when you see a ton of birds in one spot? You have to ride right through the middle of them, right? So that's what I decided to do, go scare them all! 

However, I didn't pay attention that the ground turned to mud and got my motorcycle completely stuck! Jordan had to come help me out of it, the mud was SOO sticky! It suction-cupped your foot right in!!!

The ride was so much fun :) And made me SOO EXCITED FOR SUMMER! I have more adventures from Spring Break, they will come soon. Hope everyone is enjoying theirs! 

The Pledge

Well hello :) Today is Thursday March 8th, you know what that means for me?! SPRING BREAK BABY! Even though I still have quite a lot of homework to do, it's a break for the Funks baby! Now that's something to celebrate!

Today I made a pledge to myself.  I am going to live my life as happy as I can.  Tonight I skyped an old friend and we remembered all of the funny times I had back in high school. Man, I lived the life! I had such a great time and now that I am starting a new chapter in my life it's time to start even better ones.  I am ready to make a difference in this world, are you?! Pledge with me to be as happy as you can and enjoy EVERY SECOND OF IT! :)
Alone we may not be able to touch the world, but together we can do miracles.

Epic Fail!

So I attempted to start blogging this summer...attempt is the key word here.  I can't figure this thing out!!! So here I go, I'll try one final time.  I mean, I just got married...getting married means becoming a blogger right?! Here is a picture of my beloved husband and myself. A few days ago we have been married for 5 months!! Now that I think I might have this thing down, it's time to start letting you guys know about our crazy adventures :) Hope you're enjoying the sunshine!
